Wired Magazine Instagram Carousel
Information Design - Fall 2025
Taking differing publication hubs and articles to create an Instagram carousel that reaches a chosen demographic.
This project focused on designing a five-slide Instagram carousel for an existing publication, WIRED, with the goal of reaching a specific audience through editorial social media content. Using a provided article as the foundation, I transformed long-form information into a visually engaging post that would capture attention quickly, communicate key information, and encourage viewers to read the full story. The challenge was to balance editorial credibility with the fast-paced, highly visual nature of Instagram.
Centered around shifting church attendance trends among Gen Z women, I targeted a younger audience by creating bold, digestible visuals that felt native to the platform while still reflecting WIRED’s recognizable identity. Through strong typography, simplified data visualization, and a bright, energetic color palette, the carousel was designed to feel modern, relevant, and attention-grabbing. Each slide was carefully structured to guide the viewer through the story in a clear and engaging way.
This project strengthened my ability to translate complex topics into accessible content while designing within an established brand system. It also allowed me to explore how editorial design can evolve across digital platforms, using strategy and visual storytelling to connect with a contemporary audience.
